Tenzing Wine & Spirits Awarded Exclusive Marchese Antinori Distribution Partnership
Tenzing Wine & Spirits, Chicago’s leading fine wine and craft spirits distributor, is proud to welcome the renowned Marchesi Antinori portfolio to its collection of high-quality, artisan wines and spirits. Effective May 1, Tenzing will serve as the exclusive Illinois distributor of the Antinori family of wines, expanding the company’s on-premise, chain, and independent retail footprint.
Founded in 2010 by three Chicago-based Master Sommeliers, Tenzing’s reputation for providing best-in-class service—as well as developing unique and exciting beverage programs in partnership with the hospitality industry’s leaders—were key components in being awarded the highly coveted Antinori portfolio.
“Marchesi Antinori is widely considered the benchmark of luxury, quality, and value in the wine world; this innovative, pioneering family has been setting the bar for 26 consecutive generations,” notes Tenzing founder and master sommelier Ken Fredrickson.
“At Tenzing, we focus on celebrating and bringing great, complex wines with rich histories to the marketplace; we are inspired by our passionate partners and their businesses, and will continue to drive the industry forward with this philosophy”, said Fredrickson. “For Antinori to recognize Tenzing’s unique ways of working and to align their portfolio with a smaller, more focused partner is a credit to our dedicated and hard-working team. We are beyond excited to share the stories of these incredible wine regions.”
Marchesi Antinori represents a premier collection of wines including both well-established, prestigious varieties together with emerging regions and brands. A family-owned, 26-generation company, Marchesi Antinori is wholly invested and dedicated to the traditions, passion, and intuition that have established this family as premier producers of Italian wine for more than 630 years.
