2017 Domaine de la Prébende Beaujolais Rosé

Domaine de la Prébende produces a deeply mineral Beaujolais from a predominantly clay and limestone terroir, a rarity in a region dominated by granite soils. The 100% Gamay Rosé is direct press and made from organically grown fruit. It shows vivid red berry flavors supported by crisp minerality and delicately herbal finish. Delicious!

2017 Le Due Arbie Rosato Toscano IGT No Limit, While Supplies Last

90 Points – Vinous Media. “Pale pink. Aromatic nose offers white and pink flowers, sweet spices and red berry aromas and flavors. Delicate, fresh and nicely balanced, with harmonious acidity lifting the spicy vibrant red fruit flavors on the long finish.”

Solera_web.jpg

 R. Pouillon & Fils Solera Brut Limit:The idea of this cuvée is to erase the influence of vintage and focus solely on terroir. It is 50% each chardonnay and pinot noir and all from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Every year, 30% is racked off for secondary fermentation; it is aged sur latte prior to disgorgement at which point 30% new wine is added. Up until the 2010 vintage was added, the entire Solera was aged in steel; it is now aged in oak uprights and undergoes full malolactic. Wisteria, blueberry, a hint of bitter chocolate and a lemony brightness. This is 1997-2012 with 5 grams MCR.

Champagne Paul Dethune Ambonnay, France

Our terroir is located on the edge of Montagne de Reims. Our village, Ambonnay, is a Grand Cru village, one of only 17 having earned this label of excellence. From the seven hectares we cultivate with care, we create seven Grand Cru wines. Thanks to this unique soil, our Pinot Noir black grapes, and our Chardonnay white grapes express their full natural richness.

2015 Schramsberg Brut Rose North Coast

Bright, flavorful Pinot Noir grown in Carneros, Anderson Valley and the Sonoma and Marin coastal areas.

2016 Josef Leitz Riesling Spatlese Magdalenenkreuz

Further east and upstream of the Klosterlay is the Magdalenenkreuz. The name translates to “the cross of Mary Magdalene,” named after a red sandstone cross that can be found amongst the vines. Here the soils are comprised of sandy loam—fatter and ideal for ripe expression; the riesling grown here is always textured, opulent and forward. Though the wine is of Spätlese quality it perceivably drinks more like a Kabinett.

2015 Maison Champy Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Champy is a small family-run, boutique negociant that consistently produces artisanal wines that express the nuances of the Burgundian terroirs. The house was founded in 1720 as the first established wine house of Burgundy, and it is considered a pioneer of Burgundian winemaking for its organic and sustainable farming methods.

2017 Molino Barbera d’Alba

Established in 1953, the Azienda Agricola Molino is located near the ancient abbey of S. Martino di Marcenasco, in the heart of Barolo and includes Vigna Conca, one of the most famous crus of Langhe. Mauro started running the estate in 1978 and today owns 11 ha of vineyards situated in La Morra, Barolo and Montforte. “Plenty of dark berries, dark chocolate and some scorched lemon rind. Medium to full body with juicy fruit at the end. Delicious. Drink now.” 93 pt James Suckling

2015 Lucignano Chianti Colli Fiorenti

The Villa of Lucignano and its cellar have belonged to the Guicciardini family since 1546. The Fattoria extends for 150 hectares between San Casciano Val di Pesa and Montespertoli at approximately 280 meters above sea level. The soil is clayey-calcarous, rich in gravel, ideal for viticulture, and yields fresh, bright Sangiovese with considerably more fruit and richness than a typical Chianti in this price point. Lucignano consistently over delivers.

2014 Colle Massari Rigoleto

70% Sangiovese, 15% Ciliegiolo, 15% Montepulciano An accessible red wine, with youthful energy. It is light in body with hints of soft but dense and meaty forest berry flavors. Hints of pepper, black cherry, thyme and cold smoke are also discernible. It is a very balanced wine. In 2014 the group was named Cellar of the Year by the prestigious and renowned Gambero Rosso guide.

2013 San Filippo Brunello di Montalcino Limit:

"Bright red with a pale rim. Pungently floral and spicy notes of cardamom and rose complicate red cherry aromas and flavors. Boasts a steely backbone and a very fresh, piercing personality. The long, very flinty finish showcases an enticing rising quality with aeration." 93+ pts Antonio Galloni ; 93 pt WINE ADVOCATE
