ABOUT

Castello di Santa Vittoria lies in the steep, sandy hills of the Roero on the left bank of the Tanaro river, just opposite of the Langhe hills in the heart of Piedmont. The wines are produced at new, state of the art cellars located in Località Guriot. They are dedicated to the production monovarietal expressions of the local grape varieties of Arneis, Barbera, Nebbiolo and Moscato d’Asti. Two special crus are also produced- “Arnus” is made from the best Arneis grapes from Castellero vineyard, in the village of Piobesi while “Nebius” comes from a careful selection of nebbiolo grapes found in Ulivi di S.Vittoria vineyard.

Viticulturalist Angelo Rosso and oenlogist Nicola Fogliati are aided by the celebrated Piemontese winemaker Beppe Caviola- Gambero Rosso’s 2002 enologist of the year. Their goal is to obtain the ultimate expression of the characteristics and complexity of these native grape varieties and the territory of the Roero from vineyard to cellar, and from cellar to bottle.
