The Domaine Saint Just was established in 1996, when Yves Lambert, made the transition from managing his financial heritage to the management of wine. Today, Yves and his son Arnold; the proprietors of 99 acres of vineyard, have steadily built their reputation and are well known locally for their success.
When creating a new wine, having an acute knowledge of the land and climatology, are important factors in determining the stringent selection of a plot of land. The process of fermentation is usually considered even before the vines have been pruned. The specific type of land, soil and grape variety, combine in producing a wine characterized by its harmony, elegance and delicacy.
The Domaine's award winning wines, regularly feature in worldwide reviews and are exported to a number of different countries. The range of red wines, include some of the most impressive appellations, such as: Terres Rouges, Montee des Roches and Clos Moleton. The white wines are as equally impressive and include appellations such as: Yves Lambert, Coulee de Saint Cyr and Valboisiere. However, no list is complete without mentioning the utterly superb Cremant de Loire Blanc and Rosé: sparkling white and rose wines. The wines are cultivated with care and attention, and are then lovingly stored in a limestone wine cellar.
The range of wines, consist of three different collections: Perles, Plaisir (supple and fruity wines) and Hautes Coutures (strong and intense wines).
Yves Lambert's goal is to promote Valboisiere, (a place situated 6 miles from Saumur) it is both, a wonderful haven of friendship and joy and name to a sweet aperitif or dessert wine. One taste will leave you wanting more.
